This policy explains what information NOVEL3S (“we”, “the site”) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Newsletter — if you subscribe, we store your email address to send the newsletter. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Technical data — like most websites, our servers log IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit for security and to keep the site running.
- Cookies — used by our advertising partner (see below) and, for editors only, to keep the admin session signed in.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or at www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s certified consent message before personalised ads are shown.
Analytics
We count page views anonymously: only the page path and the date are stored, with no cookies and no IP address. Clicks on “Where to read” links are counted the same way.
Embedded videos
Recap pages embed YouTube videos using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
How we use information
To operate and secure the site, send the newsletter you asked for, understand what content is useful, and show advertising that keeps the site free. We do not sell personal information.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Data retention
Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Anonymous statistics may be kept indefinitely.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you have the right to access, correct or delete your information, or to object to its processing. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, or for any privacy question, email [email protected].
Details of the cookies we use are in our Cookie Policy. We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
