- Pursuing My Rejected Luna

Our Pursuing My Rejected Luna full review covers all 226 chapters of Cara Anderson's werewolf romance, published on GoodNovel. The first half is spoiler-light; the section on the ending is clearly marked. The novel is for adult readers, and we keep everything here non-graphic.
We first wrote about this book when it appeared on the Popular Today list, in a short intro to its opening chapters. Having read it to the last epilogue, here is the full verdict.
The premise in one paragraph
Skye has been Luna of the Ironwood pack for three years, married to her fated mate, Alpha Jaxon Vale. He has never told her he loves her, and when she once said it to him he told her not to confuse the bond with real feelings. The day she dresses up to tell him she is pregnant, she finds him holding her older sister Cassandra, back in the pack for a month without anyone telling her, and a four-year-old boy runs in calling him Daddy. Jaxon names the boy his heir. Skye keeps her news to herself and asks for a divorce. When she needs help, she writes one letter, to a childhood friend she used to call Wolfy: Nicolai Woolf, head of the most feared family in the north.
What works
- A heroine who leaves on paper. Skye does not just storm out. She opens an account in her maiden name, packs an escape box, trades favours for her father's support, hires a pack-law lawyer and files a petition with witnesses. The divorce arc (chapters 66 to 80) is the most satisfying stretch of the book because she wins it with patience and evidence.
- Nicolai is a patient hero. He is ruthless in business and frank that his family works outside the law, but with Skye he is careful. He gives her a suite that locks from the inside, waits until she is free, and tells her plainly that strength is knowing when to accept help. The book makes his restraint the romance.
- The first husband actually changes. Jaxon spends the first third being cold, controlling and wrong. Then he confesses why: he believed she trapped him into the bond, and punished her for his own loss of control. His redemption is slow, unglamorous and built on showing up, which makes it believable.
- Found family. Benji grows up with more people who love him, not fewer. Scenes like the 3 a.m. walk in the hallway, the baby swing that defeats a crime boss, and the first word "Ni" are the warmest in the book.
- Supporting cast. Diana goes from resented stepmother to Skye's closest confidante, and her own secret with Skye's father reframes everything. Noah is the friend everyone deserves. Dimitri gets most of the best lines.
What drags
- The middle repeats itself. Between the move to the Woolf estate and the birth, many chapters restate the same feelings from a different point of view. Readers who want plot will skim.
- Cassandra is very obvious. Her timely emergencies and silk nightgowns signal the twist long before the paternity test does.
- Pacing in the final third. After the mating ceremony, the book turns into a story about three adults building something with no rules. It is thoughtful, but slow, until an abrupt thriller section near the end.
What readers should know
The story is for adult readers. There are open-door chapters, especially late in the book, and one stretch near the end includes a harsh interrogation and a frightening captivity scene. If you prefer a single love interest, know that the final arc gives Skye two mates. We think the book earns it, but it is not the ending the opening chapters suggest.
Who it is for
- Readers of rejected-Luna and second-chance stories who want the heroine to win on her own terms.
- Fans of patient, protective heroes and slow-burn redemption arcs.
- Anyone who enjoys found family, co-parenting and messy, honest conversations.
It is less suited to readers who want a fast, plot-heavy ride, or who dislike unconventional relationships.
Spoiler section: how it ends
Skip this section if you have not finished the book. The council grants the divorce, Cassandra's paternity test turns out to be fake, and Skye builds a life with Nicolai at his estate. After Benji's birth, Jaxon moves into the west wing as a daily father, then rejects the old bond himself so she can be free. Nicolai becomes her second-chance mate. At their mating ceremony a new bond snaps into place with Jaxon, and the three of them agree to figure it out together. The finale puts Skye in danger, the two Alphas combine their networks to bring her home, and Jaxon becomes the Woolf pack's Consort Alpha. The epilogues bring a daughter, Mila. Our ending explained goes through it in detail.
Our verdict
Pursuing My Rejected Luna is at its best when Skye is building her exit and when the adults in Benji's life learn to share a kitchen. It is weakest when it circles the same feelings for chapters at a time. For readers who love second chances, it is well worth the read.
