Pursuing My Rejected Luna Recap Part 6: Consort Alpha

This Pursuing My Rejected Luna recap part 6 covers chapters 193–226, the final arc and the three epilogues. Spoilers for the ending. This stretch includes a frightening captivity and a harsh interrogation; we keep it non-graphic.

Previously, in Part 5: Skye's second-chance mate, a second bond with Jaxon and Benji's first word.

Chapters 193–196: A late heat and an old grudge

Eleven months after Benji's birth, Skye still hasn't had a heat, which is rare. She quietly sees Dr Chernov, who finds nothing wrong and blames months of extreme stress. With two bonds now, a heat would need both men, and neither seems ready, so she says nothing.

Meanwhile Nicolai and Jaxon have a morning routine around the rumours. Dmitry Volkov is only the face. The architect is Petyr Savin, an eastern Alpha who lost a territory to Nicolai's father twelve years ago and has been waiting. His target is the Woolf Family's eastern alliances, and the story about a Luna with two men is his wedge. Jaxon's network, built through Ironwood's different methods, finds the name. Nicolai admits Jaxon makes him better.

Nicolai offers Jaxon an old title from the Woolf records, Consort Alpha, which would give him legal standing in Woolf territory. Then, in a hallway near the garden, he smells the change in Skye's scent. Her heat is coming, and she has gone out alone.

Chapters 197–200: The car park

Skye had wanted one thing for herself first. At a boutique an older saleswoman, who can tell her heat is close, helps her choose dark green silk: green says chosen, red says come get me. Skye wants both men to know she came to them.

At home the kitchen becomes a command centre. Family location sharing shows her phone hasn't moved in ninety minutes. Mikhail's team finds her car with the phone on the seat and two unfamiliar eastern scents beside it. Some allies refuse to help, worried about appearances. Jaxon calls in old debts his father left him, and doors open. Mikhail captures a man from Savin's network, and a hard interrogation in the basement gives them the layout and a six-hour window before Skye is moved further east. We won't go into detail; the book does.

Chapters 201–204: The basement

In the car park two men caught her. Skye broke one's nose before a sedative took her down. She wakes bound in a moving car, then in a concrete basement at a remote house, where Volkov meets her on the porch and orders his men not to touch her.

Savin visits with a folding chair and explains: Skye is the most efficient way to restart a negotiation. She nearly overpowers him with her bound wrists, then refuses to answer a single question about the eastern alliances. Then Tatiana Volkov comes down to gloat. Nicolai was meant to be hers, she says, and Skye made him look weak. She leaves the door unlocked on purpose, so the men upstairs will come down, and promises to be very good to Benji. Skye starts working on her restraints.

Chapters 205–208: Two networks

The rescue goes wrong almost at once: an extra guard, an alarm, comms jammed underground. Nicolai reaches the basement, finds Skye already half out of her bonds, and faces four men on the stairs. Jaxon, who came in through an unmapped window, takes them from above while Nicolai takes them from below, without a word between them. Jaxon had arranged a back-up exit six hours earlier without telling Nicolai. Skye takes down one of her captors herself, thanks to her father's training. Noah is waiting with the cars.

In the driveway Dr Chernov offers to manage the heat medically. Skye refuses. She asks Jaxon to mark her, and Nicolai to renew his mark, at the same time, if they are both willing. She has been sure for weeks.

Chapters 209–216: Two marks

At home she tells them what Savin and Tatiana said. "I knew you'd come." "Always." "Both of us." The heat with two bonds is not confusing as she feared: Nicolai's bond feels like the ground, Jaxon's like finally. Between waves she makes sure they know the marking isn't the heat talking. Jaxon tells her he should have done this the first time, and marks her. Nicolai renews his mark, and Skye marks them both. Jaxon apologises for taking so long; she tells him he is here now.

Nicolai admits watching Jaxon mark her was the hardest thing he has done, and that he will never have a private moment from Jaxon Vale again. Jaxon realises irrevocability isn't a trap, it is the point.

Chapters 217–223: The Woolf family

Nicolai answers the plot without a single public death. Savin's routes and suppliers dry up and his allies are offered better terms; Savin is left alive to watch twelve years of work become irrelevant. Volkov loses his trade routes and credit, and Tatiana loses the standing she traded on. Packs that refused help are brought back on new terms or cut loose. In chapter 219 Jaxon is publicly inducted as Consort Alpha, and Nicolai tells him he owes him their mate's life and is proud to call him family.

The pack settles. Diana visits, confronts Jaxon about Dalton and the three years, and accepts his honest answer. Benji turns one, wears his birthday cake and says "Dada". On the terrace in chapter 223, Skye tells both men another pup is on the way.

Chapters 224–226: Epilogues

Six months pregnant, Skye has stopped apologising for taking up space. Mila is born before dawn, with her mother's dark hair, and Nicolai tells Jaxon he is good for all of them. Three months later the family has a dog Benji named No. The last pages turn to Noah, now Alpha of Ironwood, who is still carrying an ache from rejecting his fated mate. His story continues in the same listing as Bound To My Unworthy Luna.
